The Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia has issued a statement in which it warns visitors:

"January 3-15 of 2021 are non-working days in Georgia, which is why visitor centers will not work in the national parks of Georgia.

The following reserved areas will be closed: Martvili Canyon, Okatse Canyon, Okatse Waterfall, Prometheus Cave, and Sataplia Cave. From 3 January to 15 January, ecotourism services will not be rendered," the statement reads.

According to the statement, those who want to spend some time in nature and have day trips may register online, via a phone call, or on Facebook webpages of different national parks.

At the end of the statement, The Agency of Protected Areas urges visitors to follow the recommendations of the WHO and the Georgian government.
