Infectious disease specialist Alexandre Goginava, a doctor at the Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, says that the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in Georgia is due to several factors, including the global situation and the ability of the Delta strain to spread rapidly.
At the same time, as Goginava states, the population does not follow the recommendations.
"This applies to wearing masks both indoors and outdoors. I want to call on the population to follow the recommendations, especially where physical distancing is not possible," Goginava said.
