According to the National Center for Disease Control director, the AstraZeneca vaccine registration window has reopened, and citizens who have been vaccinated can book the second dose of the vaccine.
"Unfortunately, we cannot vaccinate citizens with the first dose of AstraZeneca. All people who received the first vaccine 10 to 12 weeks ago will be vaccinated, and the third batch has to arrive as well. People who can not be vaccinated received an SMS message from us as an apology. Also, the people who can be vaccinated received notification.
Today, a booking window opened for people who were not registered for the second AstraZeneca dose but received the first one.
Registration for AstraZeneca will be carried out in 3 selected institutions in Tbilisi: Central Infectious Diseases Hospital, Central Republican Hospital, and Iashvili Hospital. In the next two weeks, up to 1800 people will receive the second dose," Gamkrelidze said.
