According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control, no reinfection has been reported in Georgia so far.

"There are very few cases of reinfection in the world. Confirmation that we are really dealing with reinfection requires a great deal of research, including genetics," Gamkrelidze said.

3 473 new patients tested positive for coronavirus in Georgia, while 3 342 patients defeated the virus. Information about this got published on the official website created by the government.

According to stopcov.ge, 73 154 people have COVID-19 in the country, of which 55 511 already recovered.

636 people died as a result of the virus in Georgia.
