"A Georgian citizen living in Italy has a coronavirus," Davit Zalkaliani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, told members of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council.
A woman from the Italian city of Viterbo said she had high temperature and weakness. A citizen of Georgia got tested, and later diagnosed with a coronavirus.
According to Zalkaliani, the woman remains under the supervision of doctors at the Rome clinic and is receiving appropriate treatment. Her health condition is satisfactory. The Embassy of Georgia in Italy is in constant contact with the patient herself, her family members, and the management of the clinic.
The Inter-Agency Coordination Council heard information on recommendations to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus, including disinfection processes at various sites across the country.
The Council noted that there is no reason to panic and that the government fully controls the process.
