Ekaterine Tikaradze, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, has met with the representatives of primary health care in the Kutaisi municipality, the Imereti region.
The parties discussed the existing epidemiological situation in the region, laboratories, and medical institutions. They also focused on the measures against the second wave of the coronavirus and projections, as well as the challenges they are now facing.
Tikaradze has issued the corresponding recommendations after assessing the situation.
The ministry of health and hospitals appear to be ready to provide patients with required medical care. The health minister said that the situation here is now under control, and no restrictive measures are planned to be enforced. Online clinics are also operating in the Imereti region, and 700 beds are at patients' disposal.
Zviad Shalamberidze, the State representative in Imereti, and the representatives of primary health care, as well as the Center for Disease Control were also present at the meeting.
