The doses of the coronavirus vaccine brought to Georgia today have been sent to the Georgian regions.
The Imereti branch of the National Center for Disease Control received 14,080 doses.
“For Western Georgia, we have received 14,080 doses of vaccine. Their distribution will begin today; regional services have been mobilized, they will go to Samegrelo and Guria. Tomorrow they will be delivered to the Racha-Lechkhumi region,” said Gocha Giorgadze, head of the Imereti branch of the National Center for Disease Control.
A total of 1,900 doses of vaccine were provided to the Telavi health center.
The coronavirus vaccine doses will be delivered to public health centers in different municipalities in the country in stages.
In Adjara, about 4,000 doses are expected to be delivered by the end of the day.
The vaccination process in Georgia will begin on March 15.
