It should be noted that the Public Defender's Office of Georgia has already started an investigation into a possible criminal fact.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the video material spread on the social network about an 11-year-old girl's possible engagement. According to the agency, the Main Division of Juvenile Affairs of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reacted after the video was released, and the investigation was launched under Article 150, Part 2, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies coercion to marry a minor with prior knowledge.
