Batumi City Council session started with the protest of journalists. Media representatives came to the meeting with photos and various captions of the deceased cameraman of TV Pirveli, Lekso Lashkarava.

"For Lekso," "Punish the Violators," "The Prime Minister Must Resign," - journalists were presented at the City Council session with these inscriptions.

On July 5, on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, radical groups opposing the Tbilisi Pride Week and attacked journalists.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on July 5, 55 people became victims of violence, including 53 members of the media.

Radical groups also attacked media representatives on July 6.

TV Pirveli cameraman Lekso Lashkarava was physically assaulted during the July 5 events.

He was treated at New Hospitals for several days.

On July 11, he was found dead in his house.

Lekso Lashkarava was buried next to his father at Jikia Cemetery.
