After an eight-month pause, the bridge over the River Enguri has opened, but only pensioners and social allowance beneficiaries will be allowed to enjoy the pass.

As Abkhazia's so-called government decided, the citizens will be permitted to arrive in the Georgia-controlled area three times a week, under the UN aegis.

Abkhazian Nuzhnaya Gazeta reports that the so-called 'border' will be open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Abkhazia's de-facto president closed the so-called Enguri bridge border on March 14, 2020.
