The central government is ready to assist occupied Abkhazia in extinguishing the fire.
According to the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Tea Akhvlediani, negotiations have been underway for several days, but the response from the occupied territories has been delayed.
According to the Minister, the situation in Gagra is getting worse.
"We have repeatedly stated our full readiness to assist, including using helicopters when necessary. At this stage, we are in intensive and regular communication with the de facto authorities. Once we receive a specific answer, we are ready to get involved in this process," Tea Akhvlediani said.
Fires have been raging in occupied Gagra for several days. The fire is approaching the houses.
