The Tbilisi City Hall, together with the Embassy of Japan in Georgia, planted 100 cherry blossom trees in the Botanical Garden. The Japanese embassy donated trees to the capital.

Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Tadaharu Uehara, the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, participated in the process.

“The relations and cooperation between our countries are significant. I am sure we have great resources to deepen the relations between our countries and our people,” Kakha Kaladze said.

Tadaharu Uehara, the Ambassador of Japan, thanked the Mayor of Tbilisi for his active participation.

“Today is a remarkable day. I am glad that our dream came true, and we planted cherry blossom trees in Tbilisi. In a few years, this will thrive, and I hope that the Georgians and the Japanese will sit together and enjoy Cherry blossom,” the ambassador noted.
