The Minister of Education, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, stated after the end of the Coordination Council that, if parents decide that from October 1, their child should continue to study remotely, they will be able to do so.
According to the Minister, the parents of all students will have this choice.
"If the parent is determined and prefers the child to continue studies remotely, they will be able to do so.
We are moving to classrooms in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, and Zugdidi. The decision concerns students from first to sixth grade, as for Gori and Poti, the decision to move to the classrooms concerns all classes.
Detailed information will be published on the website of the Ministry. Parents who decide to continue the remote studies will register electronically, and their children will continue their distance learning," said Mikheil Chkhenkeli.
Parents will choose the remote model in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Zugdidi, Poti, and Gori.
As for the Adjara region, according to the Minister, all schools will remain at a distance.
