A citizen harmed himself with a cold weapon at the Poti City Hall. Expert-criminalists work on the scene. The man remains at a Poti hospital, and his life is not in danger.
According to the head of the Poti City Hall, Health and Social Service, the mentioned citizen is in severe social conditions but did not apply for help before the incident.
"The citizen said he did it to get attention. He applied to the social agency before, and as far as I know, a special agent is already working on his case. His brother admitted to Zugdidi Hospital with severe illness, and the bank confiscated their house. We are ready to help them," Maia Makalatia said.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, driving individuals to suicide.
The crime is punishable by imprisonment for the term of two to four years.
