Conditions to enter Germany changing as new Omicron takes over countries

The Embassy of Germany to Georgia has released a statement saying that conditions to enter Germany have changed starting from today.

Following the statement, persons aged six and older are obliged to present COVID documents _ test results, COVID recovery certificates, or vaccination papers _ to enter Germany. Antigen or PCR tests must be administered 48 hours before entering the country.

In the case of flying to Germany via an airline company, citizens must be subjected to PCR tests a maximum of 48 hours before the plane takes off.

Likewise, antigen tests must be conducted a maximum of 48 hours before entering Germany.

The regulations also apply to transit travels from both to non-EU member states and from those states, as well as countries in the Schengen area.

Citizens from countries where the Omicron coronavirus variant has been spread must present PCR tests to enter Germany. Antigen test results or COVID recovery certificate is not sufficient in this case.

German state agencies may also require that those entering the country be subject to additional PCR tests.
