Coordination Council approves new regulations

Following the decision by the Inter-Agency Council, May 4-11 has been declared non-working days. Additionally, the Council has put forward the initiative for employers to let their employees work remotely.

At today's meeting, the Coordination Council discussed the existing epidemiological situation in Georgia, which is going downhill in the country and the entire world.

They have mentioned that the increasing coronavirus cases cannot be left without proper attention and require a responsible approach from the public and the government. They also stressed the significance of introducing the third wave-related restrictions.

The Coordination Council called upon the public to take anti-virus measures and avoiding large social gatherings. Additionally, the government has recently prohibited the practice of transferring temporary ownership on certain areas for holding large social events.

According to the Administration of the Government, the corresponding agencies will subject the compliance with all anti-coronavirus regulations to strict monitoring.

Following the decision by the Council, the 9 p.m.-5 a.m. curfew also remains effective.
