The so-called tertiary spread of novel coronavirus registered in Georgia, which means that the virus started internal outspread. Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of NCDC, shared the news during his press conference.
According to him, five cases registered today are related to Italy.
“Two cases of the total thirty are connected with Iran, one – with Spain, the rest are directly or indirectly connected with Italy. Twelve out of the cases are connected with the travel; ten are the result of contacts with those who traveled. The tertiary and quarternary distribution means that we have the virus in the country” – Gamkrelidze said.
Three hundred and fourteen people are placed in quarantine regime, 1,100 people are in self-isolation. The National Center for Disease Control summons everyone to follow the rules listed in the instructions.
