“We hope that the dialogue on electoral issues will continue”, Cristian Urse, the Head of Council of Europe Office in Georgia told reporters.
According to Urse, the Saturday's meeting with government and opposition officials was a good step towards alleviating polarization.
“Georgia is moving to a completely proportional system. This is already reflected in the Constitution and the recommendations of Council of Europe had the same message. Right now we are focusing on the dialogue on the 2020 elections and the ongoing process”, Urse noted.
The Chairperson of Central Election Commission is at a seminar in the framework of the project Reform of the electoral practice in Georgia, attended by representatives of political parties.
