Critical issues detected at 13 food facilities in Georgia

The National Food Agency of Georgia has detected serious issues in 13 food facilities, with 57 of them having been inspected.

Inspection showed that sanitary norms and hygienic standards, as well as food labelling and packaging rules are being violated in these facilities, with expired food being also sold by them; on top of that, they also operate without registering as business operators.

The 13 food facilities were imposed fines and banned from operation before they comply with the existing standards, regulations and food safety requirements.
