Natia Zoidze, Deputy Director of Adjara TV, has resigned. She has posted information on her Facebook. According to the post, it was not a voluntary act.
“Kokhreidze [Giorgi] will get rid of undesirable staff through reorganization, that will weaken the broadcaster’s editorial policy,” she says.
Zoidze says she has already had a consultation regarding her work in another TV company.
Giorgi Kokhreidze was assigned a Director of Adjara TV on November 22. After the impeachment of Natia Kapanadze, the Board failed to appoint a new Director after a set of attempts.
The staff protested against Kokhreidze’s appointment. Zoidze claimed she was blackmailed and persecuted.
