The illegally detained Georgian doctor's daughter Irina Gaprindashvili has responded to the decision on keeping her father in custody on social media.
"Day 35. It's immensely sad that despite their involvement on both the local and international levels, despite myriad promises, the desired decision has not been made. The court session has been postponed for a week. The main reason is that Vazha Gaprindashvili refuses to recant his testimony and recognize the so-called "border." This is why he remains Tskhinvali's hostage.

The so-called Akhalgori Court has left Dr. Vazha Gaprindashvili in custody.
Renowned Georgian doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili has been held in custody since Nov 9.
The de facto government charged Gaprindashvili with an illegal entry of the region; however, the doctor refuses to plead guilty and asserts that he is in the territory of Georgia.
