Director Giorgi (Kakha) Kakhabrishvili died at the age of 74.

For three decades, the director's activity was connected with the First Channel of Georgia. He started his career in Georgian Television as a TV director.

In 1975-1994 he was the main director and artistic director of Georgian Television. In different years he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Television and Radio Corporation, Artistic Director of Television, and Head of the Union "Theatron."

Kakha Kakhabrishvili started working in the TV theater under the direction of Mikheil Tumanishvili; he was the TV director of many of his TV plays.

In the 70s and 80s, he did several plays at the Georgian Television TV Theater, which are unique recordings of the Broadcasting Gold Fund. These are the performances "First they Died, then They Wed," "Uchinmachini's hat," "Gvadi Bigva," "Khorumi - a Georgian dance," "Cards brought by a dove" and others. Prominent actors of Georgian theater and cinema Vaso Godziashvili, Erosi Manjgaladze, Zaza Lebanidze, Givi Berikashvili, Murman Jinoria, Gogi Kharabadze, and others participated in the plays.
