According to Ekaterine Tikaradze, the Minister of Health of Georgia, there are 3500 beds mobilized in the country at this point and, the healthcare system will be able to serve hundreds of infected people every day for a month.
Tikaradze noted that they check the readiness of the clinics daily so that the medical staff is fully mobilized and equipped during the period when the virus reaches the peak.
"We are training family doctors. Also, we can place patients in quarantine areas who do not need hospitalization, and the treatment will take place under the supervision of doctors in quarantine zones," Tikaradze said.
The number of infected increased to 208 in Georgia. So far, 48 patients defeated the virus in the country.
4682 people remain in quarantine, and 375 people are in the hospital under supervision, while three people died of the new coronavirus.
