"We are waiting for the Chinese vaccine at the end of the week," the Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze, stated at the briefing after the Coordination Council meeting.
"We expect to bring the vaccine from China at the end of the week. Therefore, next week we will have an additional Chinese vaccine, which the strict regulator also recognizes," said the Minister of Health.
Vaccination with Pfizer starts in Georgia today. In addition to medical staff, citizens over 65 can also be vaccinated from March 25. During registration, citizens have the opportunity to choose between the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.
29,250 doses of Pfizer vaccine were introduced in Georgia on March 25. Before that, on March 13, the country received 43,200 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
