Eleven newborns with the new coronavirus are undergoing treatment at Kutaisi Bomond clinic COVID center. Doctors say they are in stable condition. 

Thirty recovered patients were discharged from the clinic in the past 24 hours. A woman recently giving birth has also been released from the clinic together with her newborn. After C-section, her health condition deteriorated, as she suffered from an underlying medical condition, but later she recovered.  

A total of 33 pregnant women with the novel virus are still under doctors' observation in the clinic. Physicians say that eight more recovered coronavirus patients are soon expected to leave the clinic. 

A 15-day newborn is also expected to recover in the short run. 

Georgia recorded 3,759 cases in the past 24 hours to bring the total tally to 139,343. A total of 3,574 patients have recovered, with their number increasing to 117,560. 

The country has registered 1,303 deaths (36 recent). 

Georgia reported its first coronavirus case on 26 February 2020. The WHO labeled the novel virus a pandemic on 11 March 2020. China saw the coronavirus outbreak in December of 2019. The country confirmed it is contagious on 21 January and declared quarantine in its two cities.
