"It is good that the supply of vaccines in the country is unlimited," Tamar Gabunia said at a briefing after the meeting of the Coordination Council.
According to the Deputy Minister of Health, the concern about the expiration date of the vaccines is unfounded; even if the vaccination process continues at the current pace, it is possible to use the vaccines before the expiration date.
"Some of the Pfizer stocks in the country will be used for a period of November and some until the end of December, even if the vaccination continues at a slow pace. I would also like to note that the US Food and Drug Administration has issued a new regulation, according to which Pfizer vaccines, if stored at -90 and -60 degrees, have an additional three months storage time," said Gabunia.
