According to the Tbilisi Energy Gas Company, thanks to a responsible citizen who notified them of gas smell felt inside the apartment building on Vazha Phavela street yesterday evening, an explosion was avoided. In one of the flats, with no one living there at that point, the concentration of gas was extremely high, with this resulting in closing valves immediately and cutting gas supply to the building.
The Tbilisi Energy Company warned citizens to follow the citizen's example and never leave their gas appliances without attention.
