According to the Deputy Minister of Health of Georgia Tamar Gabunia, the Ministry of Health has developed a new scheme, which envisages greater involvement of family doctors and nurses in the process of vaccination of citizens over 60.
The scheme envisages an increase in the salaries of family doctors and nurses in exchange for vaccine promotion.
"Vaccination of citizens over 60 is a special priority. They have the highest complications and risk of death. The family doctor and nurse are closest to the citizens in this group, both in rural and urban areas. The Ministry of Health will issue a new scheme where the family doctor will work with a citizen of this age group, "said Tamar Gabunia.
