The first public screening of "And then We Danced" feature has ended. The protesters outside the Amirani Cinema tried to hamper the audience from leaving the building and met them with placards, loud cries and boos, with them having organized sit-ins outside the Amirani afterwards.
In a few minutes, police officers forcefully dispersed the protesters, took them on the other side of the street, and those inside the cinema building managed to leave it eventually.
The film screening has not ended yet. It is set to be played again at 22:00.
As Gvantsa Garmelia, marketing director at Tbilisi cinema chain told report.ge, despite protests the film screening is not planned to be cancelled. According to her, those who failed to arrive in the cinema on time will be allowed to attend its premiere at 22:00.
