Five years have passed after the June 13 natural disaster.

On June 13, night Vere river flood took lives of 21 people, two more were lost, 239 families and 1,041 people suffered losses, destroyed the Zoo infrastructure, and killed 281 animals.

As a result of the debris flow, the Zoo was flooded; five lions, six tigers, six bears, 13 foxes, and one hippopotamus were loitering in the streets of Tbilisi.

The natural disaster started on late June 13 and lasted till early June 14.

Residential buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels load-bearing walls, communication, and sanitation systems were destroyed. A significant part of the city infrastructure was damaged: Kojori-Samadlo road, a part of Akhaldaba-Tskneti road, Tamarashvili street, and Heroes square territories, Mziuri Park, and the Zoo. Transport means were damaged.
