Fire near Atsana-Mamati in Guria is burning grass and thorns in the forest.
According to the Emergency Management Agency of Georgia, up to 20 firefighters are involved in the fire elimination process.
“The fire is burning the lower forest cover. The fire will be eliminated soon,” the press service of the Emergency Management Agency stated.
According to the local authorities, there is a distance between the settlement and fire, which means that the population is not in danger.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation has already been launched to determine the cause of the fire under the second part of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
