Forester Day was celebrated in Tbilisi. The event took place at the National Botanical Garden.
Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia congratulated the foresters on their professional day and presented them with certificates of appreciation and symbolic gifts for their successful work. At the meeting, the Minister talked about the legislative and institutional reforms in the forest sector in recent years.
With the initiative of Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia a young scientist and foresters prize was founded for the first time this year. 3 students from different universities were awarded with Sandro Urushadze Prize - 2019 for participating in forestry activities.
