Founder and Director of the Mtavari Arkhi TV Company Nika Gvaramia says in his social media post that it is a disgrace that journalists and representatives of different media outlets have not been included in the priority groups to be involved in the vaccination process.
Mr. Gvaramia likened journalists to frontline health workers who have not stopped working and cannot do so for obvious reasons amidst the pandemic.
In his words, journalists, operators, cameramen, and the entire crew have to communicate with various people during the day.
''How is this even true that the media is not a priority group and authorities and MPs are? This is neither fair, nor rational, and most importantly, this is a disgrace,'' he wrote.
Members of the government and MPs will be involved in the vaccination process this week.
At the decision of the Coordination Council, representatives of the tourism and hospitality sector, public transport drivers, and conductors have been labeled as priority groups to get vaccinated earlier than others.
