Four candidates will continue to participate in the competition for the post of General Director of the Georgian Public Broadcaster.

According to today's decision of the Board of Trustees, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Irma Sokhadze, Khatuna Lagazidze, Alexander Vakhtangov reached the second round.

The votes distributed among the candidates as follows - Tinatin Berdzenishvili received nine votes, Irma Sokhadze seven votes, Khatuna Lagazidze seven votes, and Alexander Vakhtangov five votes.

The open competition announced by the Board of Trustees for the General Director of the Public Broadcaster's vacant position ended on September 17.

Eight candidates participated in the competition, Alexander Vakhtangov, Revazi Shalibashvili, Gia Togonidze, Gocha Tkeshelashvili, Irma Sokhadze, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Khatuna Lagazidze, Tamaz Bibiluri.

The General Director of the Public Broadcaster, Vasil Maglaperidze, resigned on August 18. His deputy, Tinatin Berdzenshvili, is an acting director.
