"Four employees of the Technical University have COVID-19," the adviser to the university's rector confirmed the information to report.ge.
According to Tamar Lominadze, the Technical University switched to distance learning, and the lecturers had no contact with students or staff.
"Because we switched to remote mode, these infected people, fortunately, did not have direct contact with the staff. Our university conducts disinfection works in compliance with all regulations. We have met all the necessary conditions to prevent the spread of coronavirus," Tamar Lominadze said.
The research of contacts is currently underway.
There 182 new cases of coronavirus detected in Georgia, and the number of infected people increased to 3 119.
