At a press conference held at the Ministry of Health today, the head of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze, spoke about the example of Norway, where 23 people died in nursing homes.
As Gamkrelidze stated, the issue is still being studied, and it has not been determined what caused their death.
According to him, it is not possible to make preliminary conclusions and say with certainty that the cause of death of 23 people was the Pfizer vaccine.
"I am actively reading the Norwegian sources today. You probably know that we have a very good bilateral agreement and contact with the Norwegian side. We also had telephone conversations with leading professors at the University of Tromsø, and so far, this case is the subject of study. These are people in their 80s and 85s in nursing homes. Today it is being studied by the Norwegian Medicines Agency, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. Please, do not hurry with the conclusions because this can seriously damage the immunization process," Amiran Gamkrelidze stated.
Norway talks about the coronavirus vaccine's side effects and says that its reception is risky for people over 80 and those with incurable diseases.
