Gamkrelidze's explanation: When will the curfew be removed?

"One of the issues at today's meeting of the Coordination Council was lifting restrictions on movement from 9 pm to 5 am," Amiran Gamkrelidze said.

"We can not recommend removing all restrictions at once," said the head of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

"We have to observe for at least 1-2 weeks and then make the next decision. It was not considered necessary today, but if we maintain the current situation, this issue will be on the agenda," Amiran Gamkrelidze said.

139 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia in the last 24 hours. A total of 273,137 cases of infection have been reported in the country.
