Coronavirus will not disappear in the immediate future, and either the system, the country or its economy cannot remain in the current state for this time, Amrian Gamkrelidze, the head of the NCDC said, adding that Georgia started easing coronavirus restrictions on 27 April, with almost all economic sectors resuming operation, including tourism. Gamkrelidze says that this was mandatory despite the potential risk.
