According to the head of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze, negotiations are underway with the Patriarchate about holding ritual events on Easter.
Gamkrelidze calls on the population to let only one or two family members go to the cemeteries.
"Negotiations are underway with the Patriarchate to make the pre-Easter period as safe as possible. Everyone in the temples should follow the recommendations: wear masks, keep the distance, and avoid crowding the temples. Now the weather allows people to stand outside like we did last year. All of this was done well last year, and that is why we did not have many cases from ritual events," Gamkrelidze said.
