Georgia-Azerbaijan partnership discussed during video call

Initiated by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia, a video conference was held on the topic "The role of Heydar Aliyev in achieving strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia."

The videoconference was in coincidence with the 17 years since the death of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev joined the initiative.

He thanked the conference participants and spoke about the role of Heydar Aliyev in achieving a strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Guliyev noted that relations between the two friendly and fraternal countries would deepen under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov took part in the videoconference as an honored guest.

He underlined that the first official visit of Azerbaijan's great leader to Georgia laid the foundation of the Georgia-Azerbaijan relationships.

At the same time, Khalafov thanked Georgia for its support and solidarity during the 44-day war.

Another guest of honor was Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Lasha Darsalia, who said that Heydar Aliyev undoubtedly played an essential role in raising the strategic partnership with Georgia.

Darsalia also said that friendly and good relations between the two countries would continue.
