On February 21, 1921, the Constitutional Assembly of Georgia adopted the Georgian Democratic Republic's Constitution.

The Constitution, adopted a hundred years ago, played an essential role in developing the history of Georgian constitutionalism and Georgian statehood.

The first Constitution consisted of 17 chapters and 149 articles.

The 1921 Constitution was one of the most progressive constitutions on the European continent.
