As Zugdidi representative to the Parliament, Irakli Chikovani said, there is a risk of putting four villages (of Zugdidi, Ozurgeti and Lanchkhuti district) in temporary quarantine.

He called on the people to follow all the regulations. Otherwise, restrictions may be toughened.

“In the village of Orsantia, unfortunately, in recent days, we had a very high incidence rate - almost 20%,” Irakli Chikovani said.

Earlier, Georgian police control checkpoints were installed in the village of Shroma of the Ozurgeti municipality, in Chkonagora and Chochkhati of the Lanchkhuti municipality, and in the village of Orsantia of the Zugdidi municipality.

The Interagency Coordination Council made the decision.
