"If we witness a single-day spike of 200 cases, our resources will prove insufficient," immunology/allergy specialist Bidzina Kulumbegov said.

In his words, remote patient monitoring must be implemented so that the pressure on hospitals may be reduced as more patients mean more problems and more mistakes in inpatient care.

"Our country is not ready to provide medical care to tens of thousands of patients considering that overdeveloped countries and health systems failed to do so.

Obviously, we, people, must spare no effort. We must wear face masks everywhere since if one is infected out of two, and both wear a face mask, the chance of virus transmission is almost zero.

In March and April, pitching tents in local virus hotspots was unimaginable. We were able to run 10-15 thousand tests back then, with this number now having increased to half a million. This indicates to the fact that we can now monitor the infection more efficiently," Kulumbegov said, adding that boosting doctors' qualifications is also a prerequisite for our peace, since if the doctor knows when the patient may be subject to remote monitoring, the pressure on hospitals is reduced, and they function more effectively.
