Georgia’s Russia-occupied Abkhazia region sees 172 coronavirus cases

A total of 172 people have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Georgia’s Russia-occupied Abkhazia region, the so-called health ministry reports.

Reports say 27 people are in critical condition, while 148 people are on treatment in a hospital in Gudauta town.

The novel coronavirus claimed two lives in the last 24 hours.

The number of coronavirus cases is 3,739 in Abkhazia, with 1462 recoveries. The virus claimed 35 lives in the region so far.
