Due to intense monitoring and compulsory testing, the novel coronavirus infection was confirmed in 0.1% of teachers and school administrative staff this week across Georgia.

The infection rate in students is also low, equaling 0,01%.

According to Georgia's Ministry of Education, after the educational process resumed in classrooms, students' levels of infection, teachers, and school administration employees have decreased.

"Throughout the country, 17 schools and 145 separate classes are fully distance learning. Sixty-nine teachers across Georgia, who are at risk, applied to school administrations and remained in the format of distance learning," the ministry said in a statement.
