Georgia will receive 100,000 doses of the vaccine from the Chinese company Sinopharm in April, NCDC Director Amiran Gamkrelidze said.

In his words, talks are underway with other companies that manufacture vaccines against coronavirus: Pfizer, Novavax, Johnson & Johnson, and others.

“The contract has been concluded with one of the prominent Chinese companies Sinopharm. This vaccine has been injected into millions of people in China, the Emirates, Serbia, Hungary, and other countries, and is awaiting authorization from the World Health Organization, but it already has authorization from one strict regulator,” Gamkrelidze said.
