Director of the Center for Disease Control and Public Health Amiran Gamkrelidze calls upon employers to temporarily discharge employees having visited high-risk countries from job-related duties unless self-isolation is possible to enforce. In his words, in accordance with the Minister's corresponding normative act, people who will be temporarily freed from their job-related responsibilities will get remuneration.

The fourth coronavirus case has been confirmed in Georgia recently, with a Georgian citizen having visited Italy testing positive for the novel virus. The first coronavirus patient is a 50-year-old man who traveled in Iran, and the second a woman, 31, who entered Georgia from Italy.
