Georgian boxer Avtandil Khurtsidze jailed in the US has been released from police custody before the expiry of his prison term.
On 6 September, it was publicized that Khurtsidze would have left prison earlier than planned because of his good behavior.
The boxer plans to continue his career in sport.
Avtandil Khurtsidze was detained on 8 June 2017 at the international airport of New York. He faced the charge of being a member of a Russian criminal group. He was sentenced to 10 years.
