Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani has met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov within the framework of the official visit to Azerbaijan. 

At the meeting, they discussed all key aspects of Georgian-Azerbaijan relations and stressed that developing strategic partnerships between the two countries is a priority for both countries and the Georgian PM's recent visit to Azerbaijan serves precisely this purpose.  

The high officials also focused on the ongoing developments in the region, strategically significant projects for the region, in which Georgia and Azerbaijan are both involved, and the current geostrategic projects. 

The ministers also made a reference to economic cooperation-related issues and the tourism sector. 

They also talked regarding the Georgia-Azerbaijan border demarcation issue, showed readiness to convene the corresponding commission in the shortest possible time, and expressed hope that both countries' interests will be pursued in resolving the issue. 

Additionally, the ministers also laid a special emphasis on the successful cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan on the regional and international level and focused their attention on the effectiveness of the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey trilateral format.
