Georgia’s unique Svetitskhoveli cathedral walls have been cracked and damaged. The stone built in the walls are also cracked. Specialists say the stone sticky components has run out and that caused the cracks.
No conservation work has been conducted in a modern methodology yet.
The studies have shown that the church is in need of renovation.
The estimated date of the start of the renovation work is the year of 2020. No details have been reported on the work duration and allocated funds yet.
